Amy Malick Senior Managing Consultant | Ramboll Amy brings 20 years of focused experience in the areas of sustainability planning and implementation at airports and local government agencies. She joined Ramboll to continue advancing sustainability and climate leadership across multiple industries and consults on a range of sustainability issues including energy and water management, climate resilience and sustainability planning and reporting. As a consultant, she has served as a trusted advisor to clients that include San Diego County Regional Airport Authority and Dallas/Fort Worth, San José and Seattle-Tacoma International Airports, and has led the development of sustainability management plans, water stewardship plans and energy management plans for public and private sector clients. |

In this session, Ramboll's Darren Gibson discusses how these objectives can be integrated into data center building design and functionality along with strategies for power delivery and energy optimization, waste heat reuse and optimal land use – all toward the goals of carbon reduction, a circular economy throughout the data center lifecycle, and a net-positive business model.

This session focuses on the data center industry’s progress toward long-term sustainability ambitions, current barriers and emerging solutions. Ramboll Senior Managing Consultant Amy Malick presents a current state analysis of progress by data center companies toward their sustainability commitments, and discusses the narrowing gap between conventional and sustainable design and planning approaches in functional and financial terms, including time-to-market considerations. Amy also describes potential pathways toward carbon neutrality and circular economy solutions that promote resilience and societal benefit.
