Darren Gibson
Development Director | Ramboll
Darren is a Divisional Director within Ramboll Buildings in the Nordics. Darren also leads large multi-disciplinary projects, both domestic and international, specializing in sustainable buildings and data centers. Focusing on the future of the construction industry Darren manages the development of the technical and technology strategy for Ramboll Buildings and how the industry will develop to meet the challenging requirements of the future with a significant emphasis on the decarbonization agenda for the built environment.

Carlos Galvan
GM, Power Systems | PSC
Carlos is the General Manager, Power Systems for PSC Ireland and is responsible for all engineering studies and consultancy work. He has 16 years’ experience in the electrical design and project management of major renewable energy projects and high voltage installations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South America. This includes extensive expertise in the design, construction supervision, installation and maintenance supervision and the procurement process. Carlos has been involved in more than 2 GW’s generation projects over an eight-year period specializing in wind, solar, biomass, biogas and high voltage installation design. He's currently working as technical advisor and designer in the Data Center industry specializing in grid connection, substation design, grounding systems and general high voltage installations, for clients in Ireland, France and Denmark.

Steve Shapiro
Partner | EYP Mission Critical Facilities
Steve has been in the mission critical industry for almost 30 years and has a diverse background in the study, reporting, design, commissioning, development and management of reliable electrical distribution, emergency power, lighting, and fire protection systems for high tech environments across North America as well as internationally. His experience also includes providing analysis of critical application support facilities. Steve has extensive experience in the design and management of corporate and mission critical facilities projects with over 4.5 million square feet of raised floor experience, over 200 MW of UPS experience and over 400 MW of generator experience. He is the author of numerous technical articles and seminars and speaks at many industry technical conferences. 

Amy Malick
Senior Managing Consultant | Ramboll
Amy brings 20 years of focused experience in the areas of sustainability planning and implementation at airports and local government agencies. She joined Ramboll to continue advancing sustainability and climate leadership across multiple industries and consults on a range of sustainability issues including energy and water management, climate resilience and sustainability planning and reporting. As a consultant, she has served as a trusted advisor to clients that include San Diego County Regional Airport Authority and Dallas/Fort Worth, San José and Seattle-Tacoma International Airports, and has led the development of sustainability management plans, water stewardship plans and energy management plans for public and private sector clients.

Ramboll Senior Managing Consultant Amy Malick presents a current state analysis of progress by data center companies toward their sustainability commitments, and discusses the narrowing gap between conventional and sustainable design and planning approaches in functional and financial terms, including time-to-market considerations. Amy also describes potential pathways toward carbon neutrality and circular economy solutions that promote resilience and societal benefit.
