What is SPARK?

How does SPARK work and why should I participate?

Presentations

Format
Presentation format is open to the team's discretion and often done as a PowerPoint.

Submittals
Presentations are to be uploaded by the specified due date time. No additional changes will be accepted after this time.

Timing
Each group will be given a short amount of time to pitch their idea, followed by a question and answer session.

How SPARK works

Prior to the Competition

  • Register with your university

Competition Day 1

  • Welcome and networking
  • Receive team assignments, complete icebreaker
  • Review assigned problem statement
  • Begin team collaboration!

Competition Day 2

  • Continue team collaboration, create a presentation
  • Review and practice your presentation, upload it by the deadline
  • Pitch your idea to the Judging Panel
  • Winners and cash awards presented

Our Industry Partners are key collaborators from our valued network of clients and partners. They provide insights on problem statements and collaborate with SPARK competitors to brainstorm and problem solve throughout each competition.

Our Subject Matter Experts (or SMEs) are individuals with deep understanding of a particular topic. They leverage their unique expertise to solve specific problems and help meet challenges.
