Bridge engineering team wins ICE award for best paper

ICE Publishing has announced that the John Henry Garood King Prize for the best paper on bridges, tunnels and soil mechanics will be awarded to Fabio Gazzola, Steve Thompson and Peter Curran for their paper MediaCityUK Footbridge, Salford, UK.

The King Prize award acknowledges the authors who have produced work judged by their peers to be of exceptional quality and benefit to the civil engineering and science community. More here.

The winning paper was published in the Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Bridge Engineering in June 2015, and is free to view on ICE Virtual Library as part of the ICE’s commitment to furthering knowledge and best practice in civil engineering. The award ceremony took place at One Great George Street on Friday 7 October 2016.
