Kenneth P. Lynch
Ramboll in the Americas is pleased to announce the addition of Kenneth (Ken) Lynch, former Executive Deputy Commissioner for the New York Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) as Director of Strategic Growth Initiatives, bringing more than 25 years’ experience in environmental and natural resource strategy and policy.
With a vast range of environmental, waterfront and governmental affairs knowledge and experience, Ken will help strengthen Ramboll’s expertise and relationships, while further propelling the company into a leadership role in environmental, water and energy projects and planning in the Northeast and across the US.
Ken’s extensive environmental policy and permitting experience will play an important role in Ramboll’s business development efforts and expand the company’s leadership role in developing and executing strategy for some of the nation’s most complex remediation programs. He also will lend his unique expertise to help direct projects focused on brownfield redevelopment; improving water quality by addressing toxins associated with harmful algae blooms and emerging contaminants; and renewable energy, sustainability and resiliency.
In his previous role as Executive Deputy Commissioner of the NYSDEC, Ken directed environmental policy, budget development and management and project management. He also played a leadership role in delivering major statewide environmental projects like the restoration of Onondaga Lake in Syracuse, NY, USA and significant capital projects involving major construction, remediation and resiliency. He led NYSDEC responses to statewide emergencies, including major storms, flooding, fires and significant spills, and advised the Governor and Commissioner on environmental policy and issues.
