Randy Mandel has more than 33 years of experience as a restoration ecologist. Throughout his career, he has focused on lake, river and estuarine revegetation processes. Randy has overseen the installation of more than 5,000 restoration projects, and specializes in site-specific native plant ecology and propagation, as well as the implementation of local-native materials into restoration, reclamation, remediation and landscape-related projects. His restoration, reclamation and remediation efforts include work on 14 national parks and monuments; lakes, rivers and reservoirs; and various mitigation banking, wetland delineation and remediation, and biofiltration projects. He has extensive experience with native plant installation; riparian and wetland design and establishment; wetland mitigation banking; wetland delineation; environmental monitoring and assessment; experimental design; plant physiology and genetics; biostabilization and biofiltration. Randy has also authored more than two dozen publications, including international journal articles and a brief on the use of wetland plant species for biofiltration.
