Michelle Wheeler has over 13 years’ experience in environmental management gained in consultancy and local government fields in the UK and South Africa. Originally trained as a landscape architect, Michelle progressively developed her expertise in master, open space and spatial planning, environmental impact assessments (EIA), environmental management frameworks and strategic environmental assessments (SEA). In South Africa, Michelle led the Environmental Planning team at a key local government agency. Since joining Ramboll in 2007 she has managed a wide range of EIAs, townscape, landscape and visual impact assessments, and health impact assessments for proposed mixed use, commercial, infrastructure and industrial developments. She holds a BL (Hons) in Landscape Architecture (cum laude) from the University of Pretoria, South Africa and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
