Tom has excellent knowledge of residential and commercial developments in London, leading the residential sector for Ramboll UK. Having been at Ramboll since 2004 he has worked on a wide variety of projects from small scale residential schemes to large scale mixed-use projects in London as well as international projects in the Middle East and South-East Asia.
With excellent experience of working as a structural engineer as well as project managing multi-discipline teams Tom leads a team of 25 engineers and technicians in the London office as part of the Buildings division.
He is able to utilise his insight into the residential sector to ensure that Ramboll are bringing good value to their clients in the sector and that the company is focused on the client needs.
Over recent years Tom has been leading the Ramboll team in the design of a number of plots at the landmark King’s Cross Central development; a number of buildings have been successfully delivered and Ramboll are continuing to progress many more of the plots. Historically Tom has worked on regeneration schemes such as Rathbone Market in Canning Town, large scale commercial schemes such as Paddington Central and BBC Broadcasting House, as well as a large high-rise scheme in Jakarta.
Tom regularly writes press articles focusing on the residential sector; recently key topics have included the benefits of offsite construction, the build-to-rent market as well as high-rise residential building.
