Brad Kubiak receives 2019 ASCE Outstanding Civil Engineer of the Year Award
Brad Kubiak, PE, a senior project manager at Ramboll in the Americas, is the 2019 recipient of the Syracuse Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Outstanding Civil Engineer of the Year Award. The award recognizes outstanding civil engineering leaders whose lifetime accomplishments and achievements have made significant differences in the field.
Brad has dedicated his roughly 20-year career to providing innovative engineering solutions to client’s environmental challenges. He leads teams of engineers, designers and drafters on major complex and diverse design and construction projects like the Onondaga Lake restoration project in Syracuse, New York, USA.
Some of the many accomplishments achieved on this project under Brad’s leadership include successful remedial design and implementation for a groundwater collection and conveyance system and oversight of environmental efforts associated with the design and construction of an amphitheater and continuing the western portion of Onondaga County’s Loop the Lake trail around Onondaga Lake.
Brad has supported the ASCE for many years, serving as ASCE Region 1 Governor/Treasurer and the ASCE Syracuse Section Past-President. He also is active in the ASCE Syracuse Section’s Adopt-A Highway cleanup and annual golf tournament scholarship fundraiser, which has raised over $100,000 for scholarships for local ASCE student chapter members.
The Outstanding Civil Engineer of the Year Award was presented at the TACNY Celebration of Technology banquet on April 8, 2019 at the Holiday Inn in Liverpool, New York, USA.
